Adobe and GSA Introduce First FedRAMP Tailored Offering to Improve Digital Government Services

Washington, D.C. — May 15, 2018 — Adobe today kicked off its 9th annual Digital Government Symposium, bringing together members of Congress, government leaders and industry experts to share its bold vision for transforming how people interact with government.

At the conference, Adobe announced its participation as the first vendor in the new Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Tailored program with the General Services Administration (GSA). The FedRAMP Tailored program makes it easier for government agencies to quickly adopt new cloud services that improve digital experiences, such as building more engaging and mobile friendly websites, signing forms electronically, and applying security to information across their networks. Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise and Adobe Document Cloud services are now available to government agencies as part of the FedRAMP Tailored program.

Government agencies face numerous challenges when adopting new technology, including managing security. The FedRAMP Tailored program creates a streamlined process for agencies to more quickly adopt cloud solutions such as Adobe’s collaboration tools, project management applications, and offerings that help develop compelling web content. Creative Cloud for enterprise empowers organizations to design standout experiences that drive business success with Adobe’s world-class creative apps and cloud services. The tools and services in Adobe Document Cloud, including Adobe Sign and Adobe Acrobat DC, deliver the most secure PDFs, the easiest e-signatures, and fast workflows that save people thousands of work hours every year. Adobe received FedRAMP certification in 2015 for the company’s cloud services for government, including Adobe Experience Manager Managed Services, part of Adobe Experience Cloud, and Connect Managed Services.

“GSA has been listening to agencies and industry to streamline the process and provide more options for the government to access cloud services with appropriate levels of security,” said Matt Goodrich, Director of GSA’s FedRAMP Program. “The goal of FedRAMP Tailored is to make it easier for the federal government to obtain innovative cloud solutions from companies, and we’re proud to announce that Adobe will be the first receiving authorization to operate under the FedRAMP Tailored program.”

The FedRAMP Tailored program will help put more agencies on that path.”

Adobe Digital Government Symposium

In addition to introducing the new FedRAMP Tailored program, U.S. Chief Information Officer Suzette Kent outlined the administration’s IT modernization goals, and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA-17) provided fresh insight into the recently introduced 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (IDEA), which will help accelerate the federal government’s transition from analog and paper-based systems to digital solutions. Khanna outlined how the bill improves government websites – including making them more accessible for people with disabilities – digitizes government services and forms, encourages adoption of electronic signatures, and requires agencies to designate a senior official to ensure prioritization of digital experiences for citizens.

Also at the conference, Adobe unveiled a new study it commissioned with Forrester Consulting on the perils and payoffs of creating customer-centric digital services. With IT modernization at the forefront of government transformation, Forrester detailed the new research suggesting that now is the time for government agencies to reimagine citizen and employee experiences. According to the study, government agencies that embrace digital and CX best practices are more likely to overperform against their organizational goals, and more likely to see cost savings or budget or revenue increases.
