Adobe is No. 2 on Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies” List for 2019 in the AR/VR Sector

Adobe is thrilled to be named by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies for 2019 – ranking #2 on its Top 10 List in the “Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR)” sector.

Following our recognition by Fast Company last year as one of the top 10 most innovative companies in the “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) sector for our work with Adobe Sensei, it’s an honor to be awarded again for our efforts with Project Aero – a powerful new AR authoring tool (currently in private beta) that makes it easier for designers to create immersive content.

Fast Company highlighted our AR work by saying, “In June 2018, Adobe unveiled Project Aero, which lets designers create AR content using popular tools they already know, such as Adobe Photoshop CC and Dimension CC. For the first time, they’ll be able to lay out and manipulate designs in physical spaces, making AR creation more fluid and intuitive.”

This annual ranking recognizes “leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in business and innovation.” Based on its announcement, “Fast Company’s 2019 Most Innovative Companies recognize pioneering companies across 41 categories. More than three dozen Fast Company editors, reporters, and contributors surveyed thousands of companies.” Honorees will also be showcased in Fast Company’s upcoming Most Innovative Companies print issue (March-April 2019).

AR represents a paradigm shift poised to change the way we express ourselves and how we experience the world around us. Freed from the boundaries of the screen, AR transforms the world into a digital stage, and will become an omnipresent part of our lives as smartphones help deliver the technology to the masses.
