The Interaction Design Association’s (IxDA) annual Interaction Week is one of the most exciting times of the year. More than 1,500 interaction designers from around the globe made their way to the industry’s annual marquee event. We’re proud to have contributed to Interaction Week once again in 2018, and to have had team members take the stage.

Our participation didn’t mark the beginning of a relationship, but rather solidified a commitment of Adobe’s ongoing support of the IxDA community and the design community at large.

In advance of the main conference, we were lucky enough to get to join 60 of IxDA’s local leaders for their pre-conference retreat. This group of industry pros represents a portion of IxDA’s global community of more than 200 local groups and more than 100,000 individuals worldwide.

In support of IxDA’s mission, IxDA’s Brenda Sanderson, together with Adobe’s Andre Jay Meissner, led a discussion at the Local Leaders Retreat focused on how Adobe can help

  • facilitate knowledge transfer between professionals and those entering the practice,
  • provide value and visibility to the global and local IxDA communities,
  • provide a space where designers can better interact with Adobe to shape the future of tools and services.

Since then, we have continued discussions. Today, we’re proud to announce we have forged a formal alliance between Adobe and the IxDA to drive the interaction design industry, and the craft, forward.

Since we started designing Adobe XD, working with and gathering feedback from the design community has been a top priority and has played a core role in the team’s decision making. We’re excited to work closely with IxDA globally and its local groups on an ongoing basis, and to amplify the contribution of the association’s valued community members.

Find your IxDA local group to join the discussion, network with other pros, and learn something new.

We look forward to seeing you at future IxDA events.
