For creatives working in the fashion industry—whether designers, photographers, or anything in between—having your own website is a necessity. Your site serves as a lead-generation tool; potential customers who want to hire you can check out your site for your portfolio, contact information, products and availability. In short, it’s a must-have, and you better have an excellent user experience to match.

UX designer Zhenya Rynzhuk understands this all too well. With seven years of experience in the creative industries under her belt, Zhenya’s sharp interest in design along with a business mentality and passion for fashion led her to develop the new Fashion Influencer UI Kit for Adobe XD.

“These days I am really keen on editorial design and photography. I am also curious about how this all can be combined with e-commerce functionality to be both efficient and aesthetically pleasant. I would credit these aspects as my motivation behind the Influence UI kit,” she said.

Let’s take a closer look at this kit and how it’s geared to creatives in the fashion industry, as well as designers who want to appeal to them.

How to get started right away with the Fashion Influencer UI Kit

The kit is very comprehensive and provides all the elements needed to create a professional editorial online experience. “The kit features all the pages that an influencer or blogger might need when they are thinking of their website, so they can simply download it and start building their presence right away,” said Zhenya.

Here’s the fastest way you can start working with Zhenya’s kit:

  1. Download the latest version of Adobe XD.

  2. Download the Fashion Influencer UI Kit.

  3. Explore the UI kit to view all reusable elements and screens. There’s lots in there!
  4. Edit the colors from the assets manager panel to match your brand’s visual identity.

  5. Adapt the fonts (There’s a list of symbols that can be edited; any changes will be reflected in the entire document).
  6. Play around with and adapt the kit’s components (CTAs, icons, product pages, etc). These are all fully editable.
  7. Leverage the kit’s professionally shot, unique images. Build your own brand.
  8. Wire your screens together to create an interactive prototype. Preview your designs, and iterate.

An underserved artistic community

We all know creatives who excel at design, but whose entrepreneurial and marketing experience are still fledgling. While many of these creatives want and could use a web presence that makes it easy for them to put their products out there to a bigger audience, many are unsure of how to achieve this.

That’s the need Zhenya hopes to fill with her UI kit; supplying the UI elements necessary to prototype an experience that will truly showcase (and help them monetize) their work. The kit allows artists from all backgrounds to market themselves, their work, and their brand in a way that’s both stylish and helps them get found by leads and clients.

An example of the Fashion Influencer UI kit being used to design a fashion photographer's portfolio.

“I know many people who create a lot of interesting things, but, since they are more artists than entrepreneurs, they are not always sure of the next steps of how to promote their work and become popular or successful. With my UI kit, I would like to motivate them to go further and turn their hobbies into unique and successful businesses,” she said. “This is an influencer UI Kit that is vogue/fashion-oriented. I am sure it will be highly popular among bloggers and creatives who want to build up their personal website.”

Key components to take a portfolio to the next level

Zhenya’s kit isn’t just about giving creatives the opportunity to establish a web presence for their portfolios; it goes beyond this in that it provides the necessary elements creatives need to be able to monetize their work in an authentic and aesthetic way.

“In addition to the promotional side, the UI kit offers e-commerce functionality so that influencers can also monetize their web presence by means of selling items,” she said.

For fashion designers and A screenshot that demonstrates some of the e-commerce functionality available in the fashion influencer UI kit.photographers, there’s the function to add a lookbook into their sites, so visitors can see their latest fashions immediately. For those in the visual arts, it means easily adding product pages into their sites, so that prints, paintings, sculptures, and anything else crafted from their creative processes can be efficiently sold.

All told, her kit comes with more than 10 pages and more than 50 components. When searching for inspiration, Zhenya’s looked to her own background of being involved in various ventures that straddle the line between art and commerce.

“I’m a 26-year-old art director, co-founder of the Design Thinking School called Sochnik, and an Awwwards design judge for 2018 and 2019. I love everything that has to do with visual and product design, mobile and web projects, branding, typography, and animations. I have about seven years of experience in the creative/design field. I also hold a Master’s degree in Architecture and Design of Urban Spaces. I believe that my architectural background has helped me a lot on the way to becoming who I am now,” she said.

For all those artists who struggle with the business and marketing side of their creations, and all those UX designers who want to help them, Zhenya’s kit was designed specifically with you in mind.
